![]() ![]() ![]() C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\splice\app-6 I just wanna make beats with the sounds i've downloaded.įirstly, those instructions don't work with the latest version of the Splice App which had been forced on me (I now see it is labelled "beta")ġ) there is no 'gear' icon on the latest Windows version - you click the coloured logo top right and then choose "preferences"Ģ) "Go To Folder" takes you to the AppData folder which does not contain the samples, e.g. I have been wanting to upgrade to the live 2 but with zero support from akai if i end up with the same problem i will be pissed. it just seems like its a mpc processing problem that they won't address. I have my splice folder in my sd card so when this happens i can and have used the sd card in a computer and the samples will play just fine. I've sent photo and video proof of this problem. I've reached out to both splice and akai and got the run around off hand but it's almost been 2 years of experiencing this problem and now Akai won't email me back through support. Looking in the sample edit on that sound and no sound wave is there. The folder, pack, and all other sub-folders will be there but loading a sound and NOTHING. Soul Surplus is a label and after awhile now none of their packs seem to work when downloaded to the MPC. The biggest problems i have is that it's pack that i know will not sync "correctly" on splice and if an unknown sound is downloaded it will "corrupt" the process for all the samples downloaded. thought this latest update would address this but nope. I have an MPC one and updated to the newest software. Then you should be able to audition the wav file from your MPC and from the folder « By Pack » (only). ![]() Now if you try to read your file from your MPC from the « By Pack » folder or any other folders like « By BPM », « By Instrument », « By Key » or « By Tag », you should be able to play with it.īut if you don’t have the usage of the folder « By BPM », « By Instrument », « By Key » or « By Tag », and you’re looking for a easier and quicker workaround, just run the 3 first steps by only changing the file extension. use the app of the step one to convert your wav file and export it with flac format in the same folder and with the same name (but with. change the extension of your file from « By Pack/audio pack name/…/sample.flac » to « By Pack/audio pack name/…/sample.wav » secondly, identify the file which is wrong from your folder « By Pack/audio pack name/…/sample.flac » I made only one test with one file and with the app Audacity, which is also free and can be used both on Mac and Windows if I’m not wrong On MacOS, I found some free scripts on GitHub which seems to do the work for a batch of audio files but I didn’t test them right now (need to find the time do it). first you need to find an application or a script which can convert wav files to flac files. I’m pretty sure they have so much tickets to solve in their backlog, they don’t take the time to understand correctly each opened ticket… I will reply them this weekend. Yes I have, but it’s like they gave me a short ready answer without reading my request, because they are talking about network issues with wifi (my mpc one hasn’t any wifi chipset ?). Before the update (2.11.2 MPC LIVE II) only some Splice files would play, after the update. Could be an Akia thing, where their only option is FLAC. I think Splice needs to fix their cloud to allow the option to download wav vs Flac. I logged in to splice, went to general settings, under Splice folder (/user/ yourcomputername/Splice ) click go to folder, now you will see all your sounds, copy them to a drive and viola!! All your sounds puchased and synced to a local drive via app will play. The solution is to get the desktop app and sync your files to a thumb drive or SSD and plug it in to the MPC. NOPE! The did change some things that were appreciated but not the ability to sync properly with the SPLICE integration. I updated my MPC to the lates thinking Akai fixed the FLAC. ![]()
